Program Details:
The intention of these funds is to enable UR2PhD program participants to continue their computing research journeys. Funds are specifically intended to support students attend a computing-focused conference to present their research.
In order to be eligible for UR2PhD Technical Conference Travel Funding, students must have completed a research experience, have an accepted poster or talk, and also successfully completed either the UR2PhD Undergraduate Research Training Course or the UR2PhD Graduate Student Mentor Training Course.
Should your request be approved, the maximum reimbursement amount is $2,000. Awardees must follow the CRA Uniform Travel Policy (https://cra.jotform.com/211166679362057). If your flight requires pre-approval, please reach out to the travel team AFTER you have been accepted for funding.
NOTE: While the UR2PhD program is open to all students at North American institutions of higher education, funding is limited. Priority for financial support is given to domestic students (citizens or permanent residents of the United States or its territories, Canada, and Mexico), so funding opportunities for non-domestic students are especially limited. Even if a student meets all of the eligibility requirements, funding is NOT guaranteed.
Application Expectations:
Using AI to draft responses to application questions is not allowed. Please note that use of large language models (LLMs) to generate, edit, or revise responses to any of the application questions will disqualify your application. Responses must reflect the personal experience and knowledge of the applicant.
