NSF LEVEL UP AI Roundtables Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in participating in one of our roundtable discussions. The goal of the NSF LEVEL UP AI initiative is to build a shared vision for expanding AI undergraduate education and to lead national efforts to create an AI-ready workforce.
Roundtables consist of a one-hour call, during which we share a set of questions with the group and hold an open discussion. Staff members take notes during this discussion, synthesize them, and then reshare them with the group following the roundtable for participants to add comments or suggested edits to the text. Following this roundtable series, we will produce a whitepaper giving voice to different perspectives on the issues in increasing capacity in undergraduate AI education, and creating an initial framework for strategically identifying the infrastructure resources needed to achieve AI for all.

The roundtables will be focused on one of the following themes based on the project goals for LEVEL UP AI. We provide the questions in advance of the scheduled roundtable calls.

Theme 1: AI Knowledge Areas, Competencies, and Pedagogical Practice: Establish consensus on the articulation of the AI knowledge areas for assessing the quality and capacity of an organization to increase AI education

Theme 2: AI Education Infrastructure: Identify the enabling infrastructure needed for expanding high-quality undergraduate AI education.

Theme 3: AI Education Strategies: Define the best practices for increasing access to AI education.

Theme 4: Principles and Resources for AI Education for All: Identify the enabling principles and resources needed to achieve undergraduate AI education for all.
