  • Express Your Interest: NAIRR Pilot Classroom Expansion Conferences

  • The Computing Research Association (CRA) is excited to announce that planning is underway for the National AI Research Resources (NAIRR) Pilot Classroom Expansion Conferences, a coordinated series of virtual and in-person convenings designed to build instructional capacity, broaden participation, and expand access to AI education. Each conference is dedicated to bringing computing faculty together to understand particular challenges and opportunities for their institution type, leveraging faculty expertise, and finding ways to utilize the NAIRR Pilot resources. This form primarily indicates interest in the virtual roundtables.

    There are six conference groups:

    • Community Colleges
    • Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs)
    • Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Predominately Black Institutions (HBCUs)
    • 4-year Colleges
    • Research Emerging Small-Medium
    • Research Emerging Large.

On this form please indicate which one conference group you would like to be a part of for this pilot. We understand that your institution may align with multiple categories, but for organizational purposes, request that you pick one group to elect to participate in roundtables with. Insights and outcomes gathered from all of these conferences will be shared in an overarching report towards the end of 2026.

After completing this form, in the upcoming months (September - February) institutional leaders for the conference you elect into will reach out to indicate if there is capacity for you to participate in their roundtables, as well as with specific information around questions to be explored, dates, and how to virtually attend roundtables. In 2026 the contact information collected may be used to inform respondees about the in-person convenings that will build on the virtual roundtables.
